OSX 2.3 Beta with media tools - A problem

Tcl/tk
The version of tcl/tk could be important for openmash vic to work. I
built it with version 8.4.9. Hopefully that will allow your mouseclicks
bring focus to the main window. Tom also noticed that clicking on the
Device button when you have the VideoConsumer service (instead of
VideoService or VideoProducerService) started will cause it to crash.
This is because we're setting the recvOnly flag -- I'll remove the setting
of that option for the final release.

wxPython
The version of wxPython (2.5.1.5) is important for the 2.3 release of the
AG. Although I don't think that should affect media tools at all, it's
likely the reason you saw the VenueClient acting strangely.

Python
You shouldn't need to remove Python itself unless you installed a new
version manually. I would think (hope?) that more recent versions of
python would also work, but I haven't tested them.

Audio devices
From looking at the rat code, the built-in audio device is the only
device that will work at the moment, so using other microphones is not yet
an option. I had the same problem trying to get unpowered microphones to
work with the G5 and wish they would have been supported. Using the
line-out from another computer worked as an input for me.
