[petsc-users] problem compiling

I was trying to recompile PETSc using superlu_dist on a linux system, and I had configure download the necessary packages, and the configure went fine.

Compilation bombed out with the error message:

/usr/bin/ld cannot find -ldat

this came immediately after the ztaulinesearch compile in the make.log.

I thought before I mailed off the make.log to petsc-maint I would see if anyone knew the issue here.
