Dear Jian,

There are an infinite number of r values but only a finite number

of ix values, so there is no one-to-one mapping of r to ix.

If you want the closest one, you could check against the positions of

the Gauss-Lobatto-Legendre points, zgm1(ix,1), for ix=1,...,lx1.

Paul

Subject: [Nek5000-users] rst to ix iy iz

Dear nek,

Do you know how to convert r, s, t in [-1,1] to ix, iy, iz in an element?

Actually I didn't see too many documents about reference space coordinates. Can you please provide some links for that? Thanks

Kind regards,

Jian
