Hello Neks !

In order to reduce runtime, it would be useful to be able to run a 2D
simulation and extrude the results to a 3D domain when using a 2D model
(for example the Rankine vortex). Is it possible to extrude a 2D .fld
file to a 3D one ? I was thinking of loading a 2D .fld file into a 3D
simulation using something similar to load_fld() and then using loops to
impose the same velocity to all the points in the domain. However
load_fld() doesn't seem to like loading a 2D .fld in a 3D simulation.
Has anyone else had this problem ?

Thanks for your help!
