Hey Frank,
One of my colleagues, Michael, posted a method a while back that lists the steps to do something like this. It involves exporting the mesh from Gambit to the neutral file format (NEU) and then using a matlab program to convert the mesh to a usable REA file.
I can't go into more detail than that as I wasn't the one to write the Matlab program, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind passing the Matlab file along again when he gets back to campus. Hope this helps,

- Josh

Subject: [Nek5000-users] NEKTON and Gambit

Hello all,

I notice that Fluent's grid generator Gambit writes out meshes in NEKTON
format. However, from looking at the (ASCI) file it write out, it
doesn't seem to be related to the structure the NEK5000 is expecting.
Does anyone know if it is at all possible to get a mesh from Gambit into
a format that NEK5000 can use?

Cheers,
Frank
