  Hi Jayesh,

It is a problem with our collaborators system and this seems to have 
fixed the issue by removing SQL server, unfortunately, I don't have 
direct access to their system.  I was asking in the first instance if 
this was a known issue and I guess from your response it isn't.  If this 
hasn't been seen before then I'll need to investigate further myself and 
it could well turn out to be unrelated to MPICH2.  It was MPICH2 1.2.1p1 
and it was to do with loading a particular file which seems to take a 
huge amount of time to load when SQL server is running.  I will let you 
know if there are any pertinent developments on this front.
