Attached are the schedule, standings and results.  Please review for accuracy.  You can also visit our website https://blogs.anl.gov/billiards/ for standings, schedule, hall of fame, stats, rules, etc.  There are 4 weeks left.  Our last night this session will be December 18.  Prize distributions for this session will be handed out on the first week of the next session which will be January 8.

League standings - OMG Team 7, “No Sweat" is killing everyone.  I’d offer a bounty for the team that takes them down a notch, but as a league operator I have to say nice job to them, and to everybody else, let’s get em'!  Matthew Li took the night off so the MVP race has tightened up.  Steve Clancy is now tied with Matthew and half a dozen more are tight on their tail.

Loss of table 5 - The big news of the week is the loss of table 5.  On the positive side, it was not always everyone’s favorite table and there were always questions about whose turn it was.  Well those negatives have gone away.  Right now the set up is a little awkward, but I’m guessing by the time everything is set up the way they are planning, it will be nice.  The big downside for us, is that it means our night will be longer and taking care of those makeup matches will be a little more difficult.   I talked to all the team captains (or other representatives) last night and it seemed most were concerned but are willing to come in a little earlier and stay a little later.   Starting next week, we will begin at 5:30pm.   Our league comes pretty close to averaging about an hour a match and that means we should be mostly done a little after 10 pm.  If anyone would like to get their at 5 to start their matches, that can work too, just arrange it with your opponent, league sheets will not likely be available until 5:30.  I would strongly recommend this option for makeup matches, as the only other time they could happen, would be late.  I would also ask that people are considerate of early matches as some teams may have trouble getting more players here early, especially early in this transition.  And a final helpful arrangement with Q they will be giving us a 7 foot table to practice on, and if (and only if) both players agree, that table can be used to play a match.

Slow play - I occasionally get complaints on slow play, but for the most part our league does pretty well.  Remember, it always seems slower when someone else is playing.  But I will ask that everyone make an attempt to keep play moving in a timely manner and minimize time spent coaching, contemplating shots, or leaving the table.

Periscope  - We will still be working with periscope, let me know if you want your match broadcast (or don’t want it broadcast).  Keep in mind you can also watch the videos after the fact on periscope.tv<http://periscope.tv>.  Search for @leaguepool on periscope.tv<http://periscope.tv>.    Finally, Kevin Felker and I are planning to play a straight pool match as part of a different league competition.  I hope to broadcast that starting at 5:30pm.  I had some problems last night, so hopefully it will work.
