The year 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the International conference
on Web Information Systems Engineering (A rank Conference) which will be
held at Qatar University (in Doha, Qatar), on 2-5 December 2024.
It is our great pleasure to invite you to contribute papers and
participate in this top scientific conference specialized in the
research areas around the Web, Data Management and Information Systems.
WISE-2024 promises to be a special edition, as it will offer a rich
scientific program involving special tracks on important and trendy
research topics, demos, a PhD symposium for the junior scholars,
workshops, as well as thought-provoking keynotes, as well as
thought-provoking keynotes by high-profile researchers from top
universities and corporations such as Microsoft, Google, Meta and an
industrial exhibition on the Web to celebrate this 25th anniversary.

research topics, demos, a PhD symposium for the junior scholars,
workshops, as well as thought-provoking keynotes by high-profile

Call for Special-Tracks
The WISE Special Topics is a new and important track of the WISE
conference. It brings together researchers, practitioners, industry
experts and government actors to present and discuss their recent
research results and innovations in important and trendy research areas
or topics in the broad areas of the web, data management and information
systems. Expected special topics should have a particular importance
and potentially touch the lives of people in important ways.
Special topics will be presented in special sessions during the
conference. The evaluation criteria and quality level of the main
conference apply also to the papers received in the special topics
track. Received papers must also belong to the area of the special topic
they are submitted to. Accepted papers will be published in the
conference proceedings.
Scope
We welcome special track proposals in the broad area of the Web, Data
and knowledge management, and Information systems. Please refer to the

Special Topic Proposal Submission
Proposals for hosting a special topic at WISE2024 are welcome. The
proposal must include:
Title: A meaningful title for the proposed special topic.
Abstract: A 150-word summary of the proposed special topic
highlighting its importance and novelty.
Scope: List of covered sub-topics (as in calls-for-papers).
Relevance: Please explain why the topic is relevant to the WISE
community.
Organizers: Provide a list of organizers with their affiliations,
short bio, and contact information.
Lead Organizer.
Related special events previously organized (with number of papers
received/accepted): List the various scientific events organized
previously by the organizers.
Evaluation Committee Members: list of committee members.
Expected number of submissions
Special topic proposals in PDF should be e-mailed to the following email
address: wise.conf.2024 at gmail.com . The co-chairs of special tracks
should be CC’ed.
All papers should be submitted via Easychair.
Deadline for Special Tracks:
Special Topic Proposal Due: February 28, 2024
Proposal Notification: March 15, 2024
Paper submission: July 15, 2024
Paper Notification: August 30, 2024
Paper Camera-ready: September 07, 2024
Special Topic Organization and paper submission review
The organizers of accepted special topics will be responsible for the
following tasks:
Publicizing the special topic’s call-for-papers on the various
dissemination channels, e.g. dedicated webpage, mailing lists, social
media.
Coordinating the review process of received submissions on
Easychair and ensuring the quality of reviews and the respect of the
conference deadlines.
Ensuring that all submissions do respect the requirements of the
conferences for its main tracks.
Making the recommendations of acceptance/rejection for papers in
their topics, which must be validated by the Special Topics Chairs.
The final decisions of special topic paper acceptance/rejection are made
by the WISE Program Chairs.
Special issues in Journals
A selection of accepted papers will be invited to submit an extended
version for publication in:
ACM Transactions on the Web (TWEB).
Springer Computing Journal.
Springer WWW Journal.

as how it fits in with the conference.

Workshops Submission Guidelines:
Submissions should be made by e-mail in PDF format with the subject
title “WISE 2024 Workshop Proposal”. Workshop proposals should include
the following information:
Title of the workshop
Names and addresses of the organizers, and a designated contact person
Brief description of the workshop, including abstract, objectives,
relevance, and expected outcome
Tentative program committee members and speakers etc., if applicable
Description of the plans for the workshop (e.g., program, keynotes,
highlights, etc.)
Expected number of attendees and the expected length of the
workshop (half-day, whole day)
Brief description of past versions of the workshop, if applicable,
including dates, organizers, sites, and any other relevant information

Full Paper Submission : 30 June, 2024
Paper Notification : August 30, 2024
Camera-Ready Submission: September 07, 2024.
Paper Submission Guidelines
Papers should be submitted in PDF format. The results described must be
unpublished and must not be under review elsewhere. Submissions must
conform to Springer’s LNCS format and should not exceed 15 pages (8
pages for Demos and Posters), including all text, figures, references,
and appendices. Submissions not conforming to the LNCS format, exceeding
15 pages, or being obviously out of the scope of the conference, will be
rejected without review. Information about the Springer LNCS format can
be found at Springer. Three to five keywords characterizing the paper
should be indicated at the end of the abstract. All papers should be
submitted via Easychair.
Special issues in Journals
A selection of accepted papers will be invited to submit an extended
