Dear Colleagues,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 3rd workshop on Performance EngineeRing, Modelling, Analysis, and VisualizatiOn STrategy (PERMAVOST'23).

The workshop will take place in conjunction with the 32nd ACM International Symposium on High-Performance Parallel and Distributed Computing (HPDC’23) at Orlando, Florida, United States, June 20, 2023.

PERMAVOST is an annual half day workshop aiming to create an environment to bridge stakeholders in the field of performance analysis and engineering. The workshop’s target audience include domain scientists, application developers, and analysts who are the end users of the performance tools with some of them might have rudimentary knowledge on parallel programming paradigms and HPC infrastructure aspects but they are well-versed in the application or scientific problems of their field. It also includes tools developers who need to create or improve the existing performance tools based on the feedback of their end users.

PERMAVOST'23 will include the following highlights:

* Keynote talk: Torsten Hoefler (ETH Zurich)
      -- DaCe.Python: Performance Engineering for Spatial Computers

* Paper presentation

* First invited talk: Anshu Dubey (Argonne National Laboratory)
     -- Performance portability without relying on C++ based abstractions

* Second invited talk: Hari Subramoni (Ohio State University)
     -- Hey CAI - Conversational AI Enabled User Interface for HPC Tools

* Panel session: Jay Lofstead (Sandia National Laboratories), Tyler Allen (UNC Charlotte), Sarah Neuwirth (Goethe University)
    -- Holistic performance engineering and analysis: from UX until low level performance data

More information on the workshop is available at https://permavost.github.io and please visit https://www.hpdc.org/2023 for registration information.

We look forward to seeing you at PERMAVOST'23!

Best,
