Hi all,
To those of you who have signed up for an account on the itaps machine at anl, it's ready. The hostname is
itaps.mcs.anl.gov. The logon process uses ssh keys; to log on, you'll have to upload a public ssh key to your account
request page at anl (https://accounts.mcs.anl.gov/request.php). For more details on how to do that, see
http://wiki.mcs.anl.gov/IT/index.php/SSH_keys.
The machine is a dual quad-core machine, with something like 16GB memory IIRC. The OS is Ubuntu Lynx. There's a
/usr/local/itaps directory which you should have write permission for. I just checked, and there isn't an MPI on the
machine yet; I'll get that fixed.
If you have any other software issues with the machine, please email Ken Raffenetti, raffenet at mcs.anl.gov, but be kind,
this is sort of an oddball setup compared to the rest of mcs.
