Hi,

I wanted to introduce myself and two people who work with me as we'll
be posting some questions on this mailing list and it would probably
be useful if people here understood a bit of context around the
questions.

My name is Mark Beall, my company's name is Simmetrix. I won't go into
a lot of detail about what Simmetrix does, you can visit our website
at http://www.simmetrix.com and I'll be happy to answer any questions
- I presume it would be best to email those to me directly to keep the
list on-topic.

We currently have a Phase I SBIR with the DOE and a portion of the
work on this project is to write an ITAPS compliant interface to our
meshing and geometry tools which we'll be demonstrating in
collaboration with Mark Shephard's group at RPI. The people here doing
most of that work are Saurabh Tendulkar and Ottmar Klaas who are both
also subscribed to this list.

Shortly we should be done with our first pass at implementing the
iGeom and iMesh interfaces (iMeshP will be delayed a bit since Saurabh
is getting the way of progress by taking a vacation - it should be
done sometime in December). In doing this work we have come up with a
number of questions which we will be asking on this list. Rather than
posting a long laundry list of questions it seems to me that it would
be best to group together the questions by topic and post them
separately.

If we're asking questions that have answers in some documentation
somewhere, please do point that out, it's certainly possible that
we've missed some information that's already available and we don't
want to waste people's time if that's the case.

mark
