[Swift-user] direct staging usage

Hello,

https://github.com/swift-lang/swift-k/blob/master/docs/staging/staging.asc
and
http://swift-lang.org/guides/trunk/userguide/userguide.html#_configuration
indicate that "scratch" is optional, but when running with direct staging I
get this error:
missing required site property: 'scratch'
Is 'scratch' mandatory for direct staging?
