One comment in general for debugging when you have some large application 
workflow that appears to not run on a site, but runs on other sites, is to 
try running examples/swift/first.swift from the Swift distribution using 
the same sites file, and report whether that worked at the same time as 
reporting your other problem.

If it fails, it is often easier to debug that for someone who does not 
understand the specifics of your application.
