I suggest trying 

globusrun perl -e "`cat coaster-bootstrap.jar.pl`"

What you should see if everything works ok is the following 
complaint:

"Wrong number of arguments. Expected <serviceURL>, 
<package list checksum>, <registration service URL>, and <id>"
