[Swift-devel] moldyn intermediate files vs gridftp URLs

In the MolDyn app, the swift runtime is 'customised' (cough) so that it 
doesn't stage certain intermediate files from the single execution site 
where those files are created and consumed to the submit host.

If those intermediate files were mapped to remote files on the execution 
site (eg as gridftp URLs), what would happen?

Would swift try to stage back those files to their submit-side locations 
which would actually be on the compute site?

Would that help this workflow?
