[petsc-users] query device matrix for what it is up-to-date

If I ask for a kokkos matrix norm, is there a way to know if it is using
the device or host data? I assume they are both up to date after the norm
unless it calls a GPU norm method, but I would like to know which memory
was "active" before the norm.

And does anyone know if aijcusparse matrices have the same semantics?
