I am trying to use smooth functions but my first function might have had a
discontinuity. I'm now just using a sin function that is perfectly smooth.
In looking at this some more, the dynamics/stiffness of the system, when
these (cold) sources are added, is just stiff and this behavior seems
reasonable. I've found that with a dt-min of 0.1 and ts_tol 1.e-1 it works
OK and the results are the same in the eyeball norm as dt-min 1e-3 and
ts_tol 1.e-3. So I'm gonna call that converged.
Thanks,
Mark
