You can do exactly that. And that is the same thing I would do, although I
would probably go to
the place where they are being input

and try to filter them out. However, its a little tricky since the space
has already been allocated and will
have to be adjusted. It will likely take a more thorough going rewrite to
do it.
Or will this mess up the Jacobian and the iFunction?
