[petsc-users] Current state of OpenMP support in PETSc

Dear PETSc developers:

After trying for a while to get PETSc to run using threads (in particular
OpenMP), I realized that the threading support seems to have been recently
removed from PETSc, both OpenMP and Pthread (commit 163f1a7).

So, will the threading support be eventually reintroduced in PETSc? What are
the plans regarding OpenMP?
