[petsc-users] Error from ex42

    I have run PETSc example ex42.c using the ex42-fsschur.opts options without error.  However, if I try to use ex42-mgfs.opts, ex42-mgfs2.opts, or ex42-mgschur.opts, I get the error

PETSC ERROR:  Arguments are incompatible
PETSC ERROR:  MatPtAP requires A, mpiaij, to be compatible with P, mpimaij

Do you have any suggestions what might cause this error?
