[petsc-users] configuration on hopper at nersc

I was having trouble configuring petsc 3.4.1 on hopper.  The same
configuration that use for 3.3.6 failed due to "Mismatched single quotes in
C library string".  Attached (configure_without_additional_flag.log) is the
result of the configuration script.

I read in a previous thread (
http://lists.mcs.anl.gov/pipermail/petsc-users/2011-July/009310.html) that
I need to add  --with-clib-autodetect=0 --with-cxxlib-autodetect=0
--with-fortranlib-autodetect=0 for that error.  But it failed later with
the following error: "C++ error! mpi.h could not be located at: []".
 configure_with_additional_flag.log is the result of the configuration
script.

I am using the gnu compiler and it is of version 4.1.40, if that is
relevant.  Please let me know if you need other configuration information.
