[petsc-users] nightly tarball

Hello

The 105MB nightly tarball available at 
http://ftp.mcs.anl.gov/pub/petsc/petsc-dev.tar.gz doesn't seem to work 
(see below) for me. How can I download the the latest petsc-dev 
(including the build-system) without all the commit history?

Also is v3.4 coming anytime soon?
