[petsc-users] Data saving / viewer

I am experimenting with the possible ways to output and view data
(vectors?) created in PETSc.
I am creating a DMDA object, and I am using a TS object to evolve the
solution in time. What is the recommended approach to save data at
several timesteps? I have been struggling with HDF5 so far, but I am
open to all possible combinations of outputs / external third party
viewers.
