Hi, I packaged the python bindings to petsc: http://code.google.com/p/petsc4py/ and it is already in Debian unstable now: http://packages.debian.org/unstable/python/python-petsc It should get into Debian testing in around 10 days and into Ubuntu Gutsy in a few days automatically. Ondrej
