Direct Linear Solvers

If you need parallel direct solvers - then you can try MUMPS or
Spooles or SuperLU_Dist external packages with PETSc.

I don't think they work on windows - so you might have to use linux
[with a f90 compiler for MUMPS]

The default LU in PETSc is sequential.
