[petsc-dev] build errror

This is the alternate way of switching from 'gmake' to 'make'. Also
this is also doing a sequential build [not parallel build] - thus
perhaps bypassing the parallel build issues you might have on your
machine.

Parallel build would be: make -f gmakefile PETSC_ARCH=arch-macosx-gnu-O -j 8
