[petsc-dev] another complaint about PETSc's crappy information presentation that never improves

When running make all

Using C/C++ compile: /bccd/home/bccd/pflotran/petsc_folder/petsc-dev/arch-linux2-c-debug/bin/mpicc 

THIS TELLS ME ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!   It gives no indication of what compiler is being used.  When mpicc like this is shown it should also AUTOMATICALLY do something like mpicc -show to tell me what compiler is actually being used!  We suck
