What do you want to do with the parameters? Would petscplot (
https://github.com/jedbrown/petscplot) already do what you want? It does a
full parse of -log_summary so it gives you all the options available in
Python (of course it also slurps in the convergence history and timing
results for the purpose of plotting, e.g.:
