[petsc-dev] please prepare new patch for 3.1

Greetings
I think I am doing something wrong here. I grabbed the p4 tarball and tried
to configure:

./configure
===============================================================================
             Configuring PETSc to compile on your system

===============================================================================
TESTING: configureBmakeDir from
PETSc.utilities.bmakeDir(config/PETSc/utilities/bmakeDir.py:26)

*******************************************************************************
                    UNABLE to EXECUTE BINARIES for config/configure.py
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Errno 2] No such file or directory: ''
*******************************************************************************

Any ideas?
