Any idea what's going on on Cygwin?

After a configure & make, make test failed because of broken libs.
I've noticed this:

$ grep 'ar:' cygwin-c-debug/conf/make.log
/usr/bin/ar: eisen.o: No such file or directory
/usr/bin/ar: pythonts.o: No such file or directory
/usr/bin/ar: dacorn.o: No such file or directory


Then I've manually ran "make ACTION=libfast tree -C src/some/path" to
re-run make on the dirs where these files are located... But now, no
errors.... and after that, at least the C test from "make test"
worked...
