If you are still interested in supporting mvapich users, this
"obviously correct" fix actually results in a bunch of test failures.

You should not apply svn revision 926 (r932 reverts it) and should
instead apply svn revision r929 (which includes a change to
configure.in so you will have to 'autoreconf').  

We've accumulated a good pile of patches recently.  Looks like it's
time to put out 1.2.1 soon.
