File locking failed in ADIOI_Set_lock

  Hi List,

I'm running WRF on a large cluster with a Lustre file system
(redmesa.sandia.gov) and am encountering the following error on one of
the processes doing a write through pNetCDF over OpenMPI:

    File locking failed in ADIOI_Set_lock(fd 18,cmd F_SETLKW/7,type
    F_WRLCK/1,whence 0) with return value FFFFFFFF and errno 26.
    If the file system is NFS, you need to use NFS version 3, ensure
    that the lockd daemon is running on all the machines, and mount the
    directory with the 'noac' option (no attribute caching).
    ADIOI_Set_lock:: Function not implemented
    ADIOI_Set_lock:offset 74588, length 804

Have Googled this a little before writing to this list, and the
workaround seems to be to upgrade to NFS v3, but that's outside my
purview and I don't know if that's applicable to this Lustre system
anyway. Have you seen this before? Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks,

John
