I had a look at the mpich2 source and see that there is a separate
buildiface file for f90. It seems that ideally pnetcdf should be using
this to build it's f90 interface and I see that it has provision to generate
the piece of the interface that I still haven't completed. It would also
complete the circle so you wouldn't need to remember to update the f90
interface if you make a change in the C API. I think that this is the
right way to do it but I'm not even sure where to begin to get this working
- do you have some cycles to look into it Rob?
