example timings

Tim & co

For our /scratch we can choose stripes (up to 4) so I've tried 2 and 4
stripes, running p-netcdf on a single node (once interactively and once
in batch) to give the attached plot.

Now I'm confused as to which is best!

Higher number PE runs to follow...
