More on slowdown

Hi again from Germany.  Anshu tried a smaller run (fewer processors,  
less data), and the I/O also seemed to stall, though it did  
eventually finish.  Another concern is whether the pnetCDF  
installation here in Juelich is correct; is there an easy way to run  
the tests on a BG system?  Are there any operations that pnetCDF  
might perform that GPFS might not handle well?  Thanks!
