Yes you can use multiple boxes to create a single mesh.. attached is an example of the box file that uses two boxes to mesh a 2D channel.. although, if you are breaking the box, you will not be able to use the periodic boundary conditions across two boxes i.e. if you break the box in the x-direction, both the boxes can have periodic faces in y-direction, but not in the x-direction because both the periodic faces are not attached to a single box.
In that case, you will have to use prenek’s autoperiodic feature to generate periodic boundary conditions.
