Hi Andrea,
That's the first I've heard of this issue --- I cannot understand
why there would be a difference as far as VisIt is concerned.
The principal advantage of f0000 is that you get parallel I/O,
but this is generally only important at large processor counts.

Hi Neks, 
I would like to know what are the advantages of using the new file format f0000 instead of the old fld one. I already know about the grid to grid interpolation feauture. 
I encountered a problem in plotting streamlines in VIsit with the new format. Visit gives a stiffness warning and doesn't plot the streamlines, except for a little portion of them. The same field, saved with the old fld format, works fine.
