Hi Frank,
You'll find many such instances in nek, since we are only
concerned with whether the space is allocated, and not
so much about its type, which matters only at point of use
(subject to caveats of sufficient space and proper byte
alignment). In this particular case, wk is a work array
used inside mfi_gets - only pm1 is returned as useful
output.
