If you can submit against SVN that would be perfect. I think
read-only SVN is available to everybody.
If that's not possible, if you can submit against the recently
released MPICH2-1.2.1 that would be a good choice. ROMIO hasn't
changed too much lately, so really anything in the MPICH2-1.1 or -1.2
series would be fine.
A diff in 'unified' (-u) format works best for us.
If the patch is sizeable, and there's any way to separate the big patch
of changes into several smaller patches based on functionality, that
would be great. if that's a huge hassle, then don't worry about it:
almost nobody sends us patches that way, but you asked what we wanted
so i'm telling you :>
