There is probably something wrong with the networking configuration on the
machines. To debug the problem, you can use the mpdcheck utility as
described in Appendix A.2 of the installation guide.

Subject: [mpich2-dev] mpich2-1.0.8,

Hello,

I am a young Tunisian student, I'm to do my final project , I work on the
grid of Tunisia, I had a configuration problem withe mpich2-1.0.8,
I ask you to help me solve this problem, I would like to run a program c
(hello_word.c for example) with the command mpirun
  mpirun-machinefile mpd.hosts / home/yazidi14/foo.out
but the output is:
mpiexec: unable to start all procs; may have invalid machine names
     remaining specified hosts:
         192.168.1.2 (kchekib)
For the configuration of MPICH:
-I have configured ssh (ssh-keygen).
-I disabled the firewall
-I have typed this command mpdboot-n 2-f mpd.hosts (mpd.hosts file contains
the alias of the computer I wanted to use the alias works very well)
but the following message is displayed: mpdboot_localhost.localdomain
(handle_mpd_output 406): from mpd on kchekib, invalid port info:
no_port

Is it mandatory to enter mpdboot to run programs with mpirun?

Pending your response, sir please accept my most respectful greetings.

Sincerely.

Yazidi Mohamed.
