[mpich-discuss] MPI profiling

I am not sure what went wrong with your installation.
I was able to link homb.c with MPE's MPI profiling tool
and run the code to generate a clog2 file.  Here is what
I did:

<install_mpich2-1.4.1p1_gnu>/bin/mpicc -mpe=mpilog -fopenmp -o homb_mpilog homb.c -lm
<install_mpich2-1.4.1p1_gnu>/bin/mpiexec -n 4 homb_mpilog -NR 1000 -NC 1000 -NITER 100
Writing logfile....
Enabling the Default clock synchronization...
Finished writing logfile homb_mpilog.clog2.

Did you give any argument when running homb ?
