[mpich-discuss] Problems with installation of mpich2

Hi,
 This is a known bug with wmpiconfig. We currently don't have enough developer bandwidth to fix this issue.
 Can you run your job from a command prompt ?

Hi, 


I have a windows 7 64 bit computer. I have installed it according to the instructions at http://www.stats.uwo.ca/faculty/yu/Rmpi/windows.htm 


I have run the installation as an administrator. But the the color of the host in wmpiconfig doesnt turn green, it still shows grey even after following all the steps. But the example files of mpi run properly, & also when i run sc \\hostname query smpd it says 
[SC] EnumQueryServicesStatus:OpenService FAILED 1060: 


The specified service does not exist as an installed service. 




I installed the same on a windows 7 32 bit machine , there it the color turns green but it doesnt identify any of the mpiexec commands on the command prompt. Please help.
