[mpich-discuss] .mpd.conf usefulness ?

Hi,

Don't be afraid of a such basic questions, but …

x/ What is the  usefulness of the .mpd.conf file ?

x/ Is it always mandatory  with hydra frame work ?

x/ Is it possible to run mpi code without a share file system if each local $HOME has a .mpd.conf ?
   I suppose that the answer is yes , but not I'm not sure .
