[mpich-discuss] gdb in mpiexec

I have a terminal setting question.

When I run gdb debugger along, I can use up/down arrow keys
to recall the previous commands. But when I run gdb in
mpiexec, those keys do not work properly. Below is what
appeared on my screen when I hit up and down arrow keys.

% mpiexec -gdb -n 1 hello
0:  (gdb) ^[[A^[[B

What settings should I use to make them work properly?
