Hi,
 You should have uninstalled your previous version of MPICH2 before installing a new version.
 Can you try installing v 1.3 again and try uninstalling it ?

Gents, 



I have difficulties to uninstall mpich2 v1.3 (win xp 32bit). 

With v1.3 on my machine, I tried to install v1.2 to replace v1.3, but failed. 

Then I attempted to uninstall mpich2 v1.3, but it won’t proceed, and an error message was generated: error 2203. 



I even restored the machine back to date when mpich2 was installed, I still not able to get rid of this error, and I have no way to install mpich2 ver1.2 on this machine. 

Any idea? Thanks.
