[mpich-discuss] Process termination in Hydra

How well Hydra handles abrupt termination of processes and its spawned
sub-processes?

 

There could be various conditions process may be terminating:

-          Ctrl-c

-          Segv

-          Kill -9

 

I see sometimes processes/sub-processes are left around, when process is
abruptly killed. More often, when I am running multi-machine than on
SMP.

Sometime, I also see process related to hydra (hydra_pmi_proxy) left
around, when process is being killed abruptly.
