[mpich-discuss] mpi program packet

hey guys,

i want to know if any of you know how a node in a cluster identifies the incoming packet as its  meant to MPI program?
or how does mpi program packet differes from any tcp packet?
or in other words..
what info(overhead) does MPICH2 or (MPI prgoram) put in the header of the outgoing packet?


if anyone knows plz help me on that,
