[mpich-discuss] query for machine file

i am using windows xp as host os.
i installed cygwin.
now i was installing mpich2-1.3
i completed 8 steps.
but in 9th step i have problems.
i don't know what will be the extension(.exe,.txt...) of machine file
i don't know in which directory i have to place machine file.
plese guide me. thanks...
