Hi,
 Which version of MPICH2 are you using ? We recommend all users to move to the latest stable version of MPICH2 (1.3.2p1 is available at http://www.mcs.anl.gov/research/projects/mpich2/downloads/index.php?s=downloads).

I am trying to run a cluster with one parent and 2 child processes, but every now and then I get the following error : 

0: localhost: -1073741819: process 0 exited without calling finalize 
Internal Error: invalid error code dc009c36 (Ring ids do not match) in MPIDI_CH3 
I_Progress_handle_sock_event:421 

OS is Windows Server 2008 Standard (64bit) sp1 

Please let me know what could be the reason.
