Its good to know there is not a maximum to the buffer size.  I was using 32 processors
on 1 Intel i7 and 7 AMD quad-core machines; all running a version of 64-bit Suse linux.

As for a test code...  I might be able to try something, but I am pressed for
time at the moment.  I thought I should at least report what may be a problem.
